SMALL GROUP TRAINING

Champions are built in the off season! It's never too early to get in the gym and train! Our trainers have experience training athletes from beginners to post-college grad levels. Training sessions are designed to challenge athletes and help them improve on all aspects of their game with a specific focus on fundamental skill development. Players will perform progressive drills, both offensive and defensive focused with emphasis on athleticism, efficiency, creativity, balance & vision.

Small Group consists of athletes with similar talents working together to develop their fundamental skills. These sessions allow for a competitive format where they are challenged to apply the skills they just learned in game-like situations. We only accept a limited # of athletes for each small group so don't wait to register!

Under the guidance of Coach C. Vivian Stringer, Coach Tomora "Teeigh" Young had a great career at Rutgers University. Coach Teeigh (1995-99) helped lead the Scarlet Knights to back-to-back NCAA Tournament berths, including a showing in the Elite Eight in 1999 and the Sweet Sixteen in 1998. The Red Bank, N.J. native was named All-BIG EAST three-straight years, earning first team honors following her junior season. In addition, Young was selected BIG EAST all-tournament in 1998 and also named the Co-Player of the Year by the Metropolitan Writer's Association. She currently sits atop the single season record list in three categories, ranked first in three-point field goals made (71) and three-point field goal attempts (186) in a single campaign. Young also holds the RU record for most proficient showing from the free throw line in a single season with a .901 average (64-for-71).

Coach Teeigh and her staff are responsible for developing many of the top athletes in the shore & surrounding areas over the last 10 years. Our training sessions are set up in a progressive format meant to challenge every athlete physically & mentally to push to limits they didn't think they were able to. The goal is to make each training session as productive and complex as possible so the games feel easy!

We have a high success rate in training every athlete that comes in committed and dedicated to taking their game to the next regardless of past basketball experience. There is a critical focus on fundamental skill development including but not limited to: development of weak hand, court awareness and understanding, strength and conditioning, footwork and more. We do require athletes to work on their game in between training sessions. We also require every family to sign a contract prior to the athlete's first training session. Repetition is necessary when building new habits and breaking old ones! It takes between 4-6 sessions to begin seeing results. Training 1/2 times per week guarantees the quickest progress.

We ONLY accept serious athletes for training!!
